About the Inventor
Jánelle Marina Méndez Viera
Jánelle Marina Méndez Viera a Puerto Rican American is the inventor behind the AIFTB and USLC financial technology. Her personal experiences as a survivor of child sexual slavery in the U.S. military and her 10-year career in finance on Wall Street led her to create solutions to tackle human rights abuses and promote transparency and accountability in the financial industry.
Jánelle Marina has a strong background in finance, human rights, and the military. She was recruited to join the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of sixteen and was recruited against international standards in what is known as child soldier recruitment. After escaping enslavement, she began working at Bank of America as a part-time teller, where she was quickly promoted and began a 10-year career on Wall Street, working for Citigroup Global Markets and JPMorgan.
During her time on Wall Street, Jánelle Marina became interested in social justice issues and feminist philosophy while employed at JPMorgan. While at Citigroup Global Markets, she launched a feminist human rights movement called the Military Sexual Trauma Movement. She successfully authored and lobbied for the enactment of the Restoration of Honor Act of 2019 in New York State, the first intersectional military and veteran’s legislation in U.S. History. She also authored and lobbied for the Military Industry Regulatory Authority, which was signed into law by President Joseph Biden as the Independent Review Commission on Sexual Assault of 2021. Jánelle organized and led a group of MST veterans to lobby for the enactment of the I Am Vanessa Guillen Act of 2022 and the Military Justice Improvement Act, which was passed under the National Defense Authorization Act of 2023.
Jánelle Marina's unique blend of experiences and expertise in finance, human rights, and the military has led her to create AIFTB and USLC, which aim to transform the financial industry by using advanced technologies to promote transparency, security, and accountability while addressing social justice issues such as modern slavery in the cannabis supply chain, making weapons safer by utilizing AIFTB to create peace zones in schools to prevent school shootings, using advanced robots to defend innocent children’s lives and innovative risk management approaches to investments that can detect financial crises and fraud in real-time to offer investors better protection.
